My name is Lauren Grey and I happen to be living with Type 1 Diabetes. I was diagnosed in August of 1992 after the typical intense symptoms of thirst and bathroom trips at the young age of 5. A dozen meters, a million lancets and test strips, countless injections, various insulins, 3 Medtronic pumps, 1 OmniPod and 2 CGMs later, here we are!

Diabetes has alternated between the background and center stage of my life – and although it’s shaped me into who I am, it’s only one factor or “type” of me…along with being a wife, mama, dog mom, Dallasite, PR girl, traveler, Christ-follower…you get the picture!

My hope for this blog is to encourage others with Type 1, loved ones of Type 1, or for anyone seeking to find joy and meaning through life’s challenges. Welcome, and thank you for joining me on this journey. Let’s rock this T1D!
